ProPak China 2011 is the 17th International Processing, Packaging and End-Line Printing trade show showcasing processing and packaging solutions for all industries including dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, snacks, confectionery, beer, beverages, FMCG and industrial sectors.

New this year is a planned pavilion of French companies organised by adepta. France will join the other regular supporters of ProPak China, from the world’s leading packaging technology manufacturing nations including, pavilions from Germany’s VDMA; Japan Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association; Korea Packaging Machinery Association; Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), UK; Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), USA and from Taiwan region the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI).

Increased numbers registering for ProPak China to display technology mirrors these fast growing sectors: 

• Food processing and packaging
• Cosmetics and daily chemicals
• Beverages and beer
• Snack foods and confectionary
• Robotics and automation

Visitors to the shows in search of processing and packaging solutions were able to view some of the latest technology available in the market and from a wide range of companies. Robotics, automation and conveying technology was particularly prominent this year. Reflecting market demand for labour saving machinery and need for quality control. From Chinese companies, carton technology with machines for carton erecting; sealing; loading and wrapping much in demand. While liquid technology for dairy products; fruit juices, bottled water, tea and carbonated beverages proved popular with buyers seeking everything from blow moulding machines to gable cartons; filling machines, capping and sterilising technology, and palletising machines.

Last Event Highlights
The 16th edition of ProPak China which took place in Shanghai from 14th to 16th July, 2010, recorded a 5% increase in visitors over last year’s event. In total, 14,756 buyers attended this 3-day expo of processing, packaging and liquid technology and had the opportunity to meet 530 exhibitors from 19 countries.

A record 44%, or 6,468 of total visitors traveled to ProPak China from outside Shanghai from other cities in China and from overseas to meet the many exhibitors at this show.
