Write-up:
Plastics are one of the greatest innovations of the millennium and in today's world, life without plastics is incomprehensible.

The plastic industry barely existed about fifty years ago. Now, plastics represent one of the most ubiquitous raw materials used in a wide gamut of industries ranging from construction, automotives, packaging, electrical & electronics, appliances to medical products.

The Middle East, during the last decade, has fast emerged as a serious player in the global market owing to the twin benefits of low raw material and feedstock prices and proximity to the highly lucrative Asian market.

Being a rapidly growing area, the Middle East offers excellent opportunities for companies in this field. With huge volumes coming on line in the next few years, and the region becoming the focus of international polymer producers and converters, there is immense growth potential for the regional downstream plastics industry.

The launch edition of Plastivision Arabia is to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah between 14th and 17th May, 2012.

The show will aim to bring together raw material producers, primary processing and auxiliary equipment suppliers and traders, leveraging on the high growth potential of the UAE plastics industry.

Leading suppliers from all over the world will converge on Sharjah to showcase their products to the fast growing regional markets, offering an unrivalled opportunity to strike sourcing deals, share technological know-how and provide all the latest developments in the field of plastics.

‘Vision for Growth’ conference attracts the attention of the industry’s elite. The conference is a platform for exchange of knowledge, discussion and debates. The conference programme presents a diverse range of content, tailored specifically to the needs of the plastic industry.
